The Danbury Songwriters with Jack Benedict & Bruce Piephoff

The Danbury Songwriters Series welcomes Jack Benedict & Bruce Piephoff to the stage at The Arts Place of Stokes.

Jack Benedict cannot avoid the music. He listens to almost everything. Acoustic music, however, has always been his true north. A gifted luthier as well, Jack considers himself a guitar builder who accidentally writes songs and plays only his own handmade instruments. Jack returned to performing in 2006. Since then, he has performed as a solo artist, a member of local duo Mystkdog, and the alt-country band Hanging Thread.

Greensboro native, Bruce Piephoff, has been writing, performing and recording his folk/blues songs and poetry since 1969. Bruce has performed all over the U.S. and in Europe and shared the stage with Tom Paxton, Steve Forbert, Hot Tuna, Riders in the Sky, Gregg Allman and many others.
