Teresa Rose Everhart in the Jayebird Gallery

The Stokes County Arts Council and Hanging Rock State Park welcome Teresa Rose Everhart to the Jayebird Gallery inside the Hanging Rock State Park Visitor’s Center.  Her exhibit, featuring works in oils, acrylics, and mixed media will be on display July and August.

“The goal of my artwork is simple: to capture my excitement on canvas or paper. I connect with and absorb the vibrant world around me by carefully observing natural objects, landscapes, animals and people, and then try to do them justice,” says Everhart.  “A genuine seeker, I am always striving to fulfill my aspirations of wanting you, the viewer, to enjoy and fee the emotion during the creation of each piece. Sometimes you may see a struggle, which is part of the journey. Honestly, a piece of my soul goes into creating every work of art.”

Everhart has exhibitions currently at the Masonic Center, Summer at Salemtowne, Davidson Community College and Baptist Health.  She is also a certified and recognized floral designer with forty plus years in the floral industry.

An artist meet and greet and opening reception will be held Sunday, July 8 at the Jayebird Gallery from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. The reception is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served and the first 25 visitors will receive a free piece of original art.

The Jayebird Gallery is located inside the Visitor’s Center at Hanging Rock State Park, 1790 Hanging Rock Park Rd., Danbury, NC 27016. For more information, contact Stokes Arts at 336-593-8159.
