Winter Dessert Theatre: Breach of Peace

The 2019 Winter Dessert Theatre Series continues Friday, January 25th with Breach of Peace, performed by Mike Wiley. A North Carolina-based actor & playwright, Wiley’s compelling works of documentary theatre yield rich and powerful journeys to milestones and turning points of cultural history.

Breach of Peace is based on true accounts of surviving participants of the Freedom Rides as well as many other individuals involved in the early struggle for African-American equality. This solo-play is a living monument to those remarkable young men and women of various races, religions, and backgrounds who rose to face the dangers of fighting for just and equal treatment for all.

Dessert service, sponsored by Carolinas Farms and Homes, will begin at 6pm. Showtime is 7pm.

Additional 2019 Winter Dessert Theatre performances will include: Flights of Imagination, written and performed by Terri Ingalls on Saturday, February 16th at 7pm and Sunday, February 17th at 3pm; and the Murder Most Fowl, presented by the NoneSuch Playmakers on Saturday, March 2nd at 7pm.
