Taylor Vaden and Memphis Thunder will be paying tribute to Elvis this Saturday August 17th at 7:00 pm with “Remembering Elvis” at The Arts Place, 502 Main Street, Danbury.
Memphis Thunder is an authentic 1950’s tribute band focusing on the early hits of Elvis Presley. The vintage look and sound of this band takes the audience back to the years when Elvis’ career started and launched into stardom. The band consists of Brad Ford on drums, Todd Phillips on upright bass/background vocals, Scott Williams on lead guitar/background vocals, and award-winning Elvis Tribute Artist Taylor Vaden on lead vocals/rhythm guitar.
The evening’s festivities will include a 1950’s themed costume contest, Elvis memorabilia, complimentary dessert, door prizes, and Higher Grounds Coffee Shop will be serving a special peanut butter and chocolate delight aptly named “Graceland.” Advanced tickets are $10 for Stokes County Arts Council members, $15 advanced general admission and can be purchased online or by phone at 336-593-8159. Tickets will also be available at the door the night of the show, $18 general admission.
